Spotify not showing chromecast app

Spotify not showing chromecast app

I saw the issue on the community page but I couldn’t comment there but the solution is with the Spotify app itself .

So I first had to go to Devices in the settings then enable the show local devices option. On the same settings tab you’ll see where it says device menu, which will ask for you to enable Spotify to recognize local devices and tap it . Idk if you guys already figured it out but I couldn’t find it on the community chat so.

Good call enabling the option Show local devices only. If your Chromecast is still missing from the Connect list, try logging out > restarting your devices > restarting your router by unplugging it for a few seconds > logging back in.
