Spotify on chrome has missing features?

My Question or Issue

I'm not sure if it's just me, but this has been happening for the past week. Whenever I use the web version of Spotify on my Chromebook, some features seem to be missing, such as the "Collaborate" option. Additionally, I've encountered issues when trying to share playlists. The link I copy from the page doesn’t work for others, and some playlists don’t appear at all for them. I thought it might be a one-time issue, but it keeps happening. I have a premium account, but I'm unsure if that affects the features I'm trying to use. I tried searching else which prompts me to 'update Spotify,' but I don’t know how to do that since I’m not using the actual app.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

In general, the Web Player has access to fewer features compared to the desktop app. If your Chromebook is a 2018 model or later, you can install the app from the Google Play Store instead.

As for the links not working, make sure the playlist you're sharing isn't set to Private. If it is, you'll need to use the desktop/mobile app to change it to Public so that the people whom you'd like to share it with have access. More info can be found here.
