Spotify only producing sound from the back speaker of my car

Spotify only producing sound from the back speaker of my car

I've just upgraded my car's head unit to an android one which has digital sound processing and when I play songs through spotify it will only produce sound from the speakers that is in the back of my car even though I have 2 speakers and 2 tweeter in the front of the car

I know this problem is caused by "zone" setting in the head unit's DSP which are set to passenger seat only in default mode so I changed it to make all speakers produce sound. After I changed the setting The FM radio, built in music player and video player all worked fine except spotify which seems to ignore my car's dsp setting?? how to set it so it'll follow my car's setting instead of using it's own equalizer?

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd suggest checking the accessibility settings of the Android unit, specifically Hearing Enhancements. You might find that the balance can be set to one side.

On another note, we'd suggest double-checking if both the firmware of your car unit and the Spotify app there are up-to-date.

Lastly, if possible, we'd recommend turning off the Android DSP on the car unit to see if you notice any difference. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Keep us in the loop!
