Spotify play button does not start desktop client

Hello all, Please help

The Spotify play button widget is acting strange for me and a lot of users on our web page. It only starts the web player and if it tries to start the desktop player a javascript exception is thrown: "HARMONY_LOCAL_PLAYER_DISABLED" and "Cannot perform command; local player is disabled"

I am using latest version of spotify desktop and Chrome

I have testet on the button in Spotifys own page:

Just for the record. In Internet explorer (version 11.48.17134.0) it only starts the webplayer and ignores the desktop player.

I am logged in on spotify web, and desktop client as a priemium member and have tried to reinstall Spotify, as well as tried in different browsers, from different PC´s on different locations.

What to do?
