Spotify won't connect to my sonos boxes

Spotify won't connect to my sonos boxes

My Question or Issue

Suddenly spotify won’t connect to my sonos boxes anymore. I can see my sonos boxes under ‘connect to a device’, but when I click one of my sonos boxes nothing happens. Spotify keeps saying ‘connecting’ till it gives up.

I’ve already tried reinstalling both apps and logging out/ logging in and reconnecting the spotify service from within the sonos app, but nothing seems to work.

My girlfriend, who has a Samsung s10, has no issues. She can connect to the sonos boxes from her spotify app.

 

Btw when I use the sonos app I can play music from spotify. So the problem seems be within the spotify app?

 

What could be the issue?

Just to confirm, have you followed these specific steps to reinstall the app?

 

On another note, would you mind checking if the OS of your phone is up to date?

 

Lastly, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your phone to check if the same happens with a different account?

I have the same since a few days. Works flawless in Sonos App. Not just any of Spotify apps.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

 

Just to be on the same page, have you tried performing a Clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article?. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

 

If so and the issue persists, would you mind checking it with a different Wi-Fi network to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.

 

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your devices, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.

Also experiencing a similar problem since some weeks.

 

I can play music via Spotify Connect to my Sonos, but it gets out of sync very quickly. Songs are displayed wrong or I cannot control it at all. 
It happens every time and not randomly.
