Spotify wont play on sonos

Spotify wont play on sonos

Spotify premium account has worked fine for 6 months on Sonos  but then had occasional dropouts . 

It has got worse untill since last week it is now unusable. Cannot even pay one track. Drops out "connection to spotify lost".

Does anyone else have this issue. Very frustrating. (Australia)

Have you tried logging out then in, and removing and re-adding the app?

dont understand your suggestion. How do I remove and readd the "app"? 

Do you mean remove the Spotify account from sonos music services and then readd it?

I have the same problem in Sweden. I have a support ticket with SOnos. The next thing is to call them when I am at home during their opening hours.

I have tried more or less everything. I have rebooted the sonos components. I have made factory reset on them. I have upgraded to the latest version of the sonos component firmware. I have upgraded my controllers. I have downgraded the firmware on all my routers in my wlan. But nothing actually helped.
The sonos system can play songs from my iphone and the radio also works. I have had a bit of problems with my music directory and right now reindexing it. Ican search in spotify via my controllers. I can also on the same network run the spotify client and play music. It is only a problem when trying to play songs on Spotify on the sonos system.

sorry did not repond earlier. I had some sucssess

Sonos local help in Australia got me to run Diagnostic and then suggested the cable from my router to sonos or the port I was using in the router may be faulty.  They suggested changing the cabl and using a different port.

 

To some extent this does not make sense as I can stream from another provider (not spotify) with no problem.

However I have tried it and for last 3 days it is working ok.

I still have occasional dropouts but usually just short (5 seconds) 

so maybe this will help you

Hi, 

I have the same problem, my spotify wont connect to sonos. It keeps saying my device isnt authorised so when i then go on to spotify .com to try get the password to authorise my device its saying that it is sending out a mail, but i dont recieve anything. 

My username is 1160357508 would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.
