Hey there!
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
The suggested content in Spotify is based on your library, listening history, searches and what's popular in your region. If the recommendations are not accurate to your music taste, we'd recommend listening to more of your favorite music and discovering new artists/music so the system could include different content in your recommendations.
We'd also suggest using the private session feature if you want to listen to music or artists without affecting your taste profile or recommendations.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
While this sounds logical, it's not the underlying issue. I'm having entirely Hispanic albums suggested for me when the only genre I listen to, have saved, all my top artists per Wrapped, etc. are House (more so piano & deep house). Not at all related.
I have this exact same problem right now!! I dont listen to any hispanic music whatsoever and that is all the my suggested albums are right now. Did you figure out why its happening?
Same thing keeps happening to me. At first I thought maybe someone got into my account, but now it’s back again. All my accounts are protected by randomly computer-generated passwords and 2FA, someone would have to brute force it to get in. But yeah, Spotify keeps recommending Hispanic music to me as well. I mostly listen to DnB and Dubstep. I’ve literally never listened to Hispanic music.
This is happening to me right now too! But my Recents section only shows my music and podcasts, no Hispanic music. I did get an email an hour ago where someone tried to log into my Spotify with an email link. I wonder if someone can use my account but what they listen to not show in my Recents?
Hey there, folks,
If you notice any unusual activity with your account or suspect it might have been compromised, I strongly recommend securing it by following the steps here. Make sure to remove any third-party app connections by selecting REMOVE ACCESS on your account page.
Something else you can do is logging out and signing back in to your account twice in a row - this will force a resync of the app that may help here. It's worth checking if things look different on another device. If you're using a VPN, I suggest disabling it as well.
Cheers!
