TCL Soundbar Not Playing Spotify Through Alexa

My Question or Issue

I just got a TCL Alto 8+ 3.1.2 (TS8132) that has AirPlay 2, Google Assistant, and Alexa compatibility. For some reason, it cannot play Spotify through Alexa. It can play Spotify through AirPlay and Google Assistant/Cast. 

The issue is not that Alexa isn’t connected. Alexa can turn it on and off, change the volume, and even play iHeartRadio and Amazon Music without issue. It only has an issue with Spotify. This is annoying because Alexa and Spotify are my preferred way to listen to my music at home. Does anyone know what might be wrong? 

Troubleshooting I’ve Tried

• Chatting with TCL and Amazon, neither of which knew what the problem was
• Factory Resetting the Sound Bar
• Unlinking my Spotify skill on Alexa
