Teens account for family plan with parentsl controls

Teens account for family plan with parentsl controls

  1. Spotify kids has a very simple interface. I think we need the normal spotify but with parental controls so the teenager can listen music but parents can restrict explicit content: in lyrics and videos.

Hey there @mari009,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

That being said, weโ€™d like you to know that the app already has this option. If you manage a Premium Family plan, you can allow or block anything with an explicit tag for other members of the plan. You can find out how to use it in this article.

If perhaps the idea you have in mind works differently, feel free to post your suggestion again, making sure you follow our Idea Exchange Guidelines. That way, others will find it easily and can show their support.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, we're always a post away.

  • The ability to manage content on a regular Spotify account instead of child users being limited to the Spotify Kids app.

There are some contents from specific music or podcasts are not suitable to children. I tried to follow the guide to block them, but it doesn't work

Only wish easier to control transition from older kid to pre-teen/teen settings. Where it auto blocks explicit content unless a parent approves song. If developers could implement less G rated Spotify Kids for teens. A lot of suggested songs are very young even for older kids and harder to find artists of teen genres that are clean trending music or podcasts
