My Question or Issue

I am using the spotify app on my Samsung phone.
My previous/other receiver (onkyo & marantz) show up as a device in spotify connect even when they are off. I can select the receiver, the receiver turns on and I can start playing music through that device. I would like the same functionality with my Yamaha r-n803 receiver. Currently I need to turn on the receiver before it will show up as a device in spotify connect.
I would have thought that turning on the 'network standby' option would resolve this, but it doesn't appear so. Some help getting the same functionality as the other devices would be most appreciated.

Thanks for posting on the Community and welcome. 

We recommend that you get in contact with the manufacturer in order to confirm if your Yamaha receiver has the same function (shown as an available device even when turned off) as your Onkyo and Marantz devices.

From our end, we only provide the API to the receivers, however, we don't handle the capabilities of it and how the API is managed by the hardware (this may change with every manufacturer).
