Unable to play the BBC world service podcast

I have listened to the podcast before. Today the most recent two episodes of the BBC world service unable to play. Every time I click play it stays up for like 2 seconds and then goes away. 

I have cleared cache, done a clear uninstall, logged out and logged back in and nothing has changed. 

I listen to the podcast when I'm at work so I am unable to use the web player on PC.

Please let there be a fix soon I'm a paying customer and would like to keep enjoying the service that I pay for.

Same problem here, contacted Spotify Support but 3 of the support people said they can't help as long as it is not technical issue. And I was trying to ask which category is this issue consider as?  They left the conversation without answering me. Awesome support I ever received. I'm so disappointed with the service provided by Spotify.

Same issue here!

All BBC podcasts won't play on ios or mac. The same with the Today in Focus podcast by The Guardian.

I have tried to log out, update, restart, update ios - nothing changed.

Please fix

Same issue here with BBC podcasts I follow. No Issues with other podcasts/songs. All standard fixes attempted. Both on Desktop and Android version

Having the same problem for BBC global news podcast. Started 2 days ago. Cursor does not move and looks stuck.

Tried the clean reinstall and doesn't help. It's not playing on phone and on the web. Please fix!

Same here. I also did a "clean reinstall" I.e delete cache and data before uninstalling and reinstalling app. I also make sure to download all available software updates on my phone and still the problem persists. Listening on Samsung galaxy S20FE 5G

• I've been having this problem, however from my account, I can now access/play BBC produced podcasts. Hope it's working for everyone else!!!

I'm having the same issue–can't play from computer or phone, particularly if connected to a smart speaker (Echo.) It will play on my phone sometimes. 

I can play any music or other podcasts without a hitch. Just when I try to play the BBC Global Podcast.

Writing to confirm there that not all content is available via all devices in all regions. If the podcasts work on your PC or smartphone and the issue is limited to your Echo, it's likely a rare instance of something similar to what's reported in this thread.

Same problem here... BBC podcasts fade in and out of availability, no pattern identifiable... Please fix this

The problem is that it's not consistent. I thought for a long time that it didn't work on the Echo devices in my region, then it did. It hadn't worked on my Fire TV in my region, but then it did. Is there a device/region support list that can be referred to when there is a question about this? I appreciate the effort but this is like the third persistent issue I've had with this specific podcast on Spotify. I haven't had any other issues with any other content on Spotify that is reproducible/not a one-time thing; I listened to ~42,000 minutes of Spotify last year. 

There is also a new issue that started approximately a month or two ago where I can listen to a full episode but when the episode completes, it doesn't continue into the next BBC episode. I can no longer listen to a continuous stream of episodes, it no longer works. This only happens on this BBC podcast. In order to get the next episode to play, I either need to go to and stream any other Spotify source, or queue a different BBC episode and allow it to start playing and then return to the one I wanted to listen to. It will then play until the episode is over, and then I need to repeat the process to play the next episode.

I don't know what is unique about how this podcast is streamed but it's the only podcast I've ever had issues with on Spotify and this is like the 3rd different issue. It's unfortunate because it's my favorite podcast, I listened to ~15,000 minutes of it last year.  I stream almost entirely on an iPhone 12 running IOS 15.6.1. Spotify app version 8.7.68.568. I have done the normal troubleshooting of clearing my cache and downloads, reinstalling the app, and logging in and out etc. Please look into these issues, I really enjoy the content of this podcast. Thanks!
