Unpin defunct podcasts

Unpin defunct podcasts

This is a bug report:

I have discovered a bug related to podcast subscriptions on Spotify.

While setting up my own Podcast, I went through some challenges, but finally got it all sorted out with Spotify for Podcasters. However, while I still had my old first attempt from another podcast provider, I added the podcast to my favorites and "pinned" it in Spotify.

After getting the podcast set up better on Spotify, I deleted the old one.  Now that the old first attempt at a podcast has been deleted, the "pinned" favorite won't go away, even though it doesn't work. I tried right-clicking in the hopes that I might be able to un-pin it or otherwise remove it, but it doesn't look like there's any way to remove a now defunct podcast from my account, because the UI expects me to go to the podcast page that doesn't exist in order to remove it.

This occurs for me in the web player, the mobile player, and the desktop player.

Hey @brianberneker,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

If you're a podcaster and you're having an issue with your podcast, feel free to check out our Spotify for Podcasters help center here

If the above is not the case and our app doesn't work as expected, we'd suggest that you perform a clean reinstall on the affected devices. We recommend this step since it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you 🙂
