My Question or Issue

What is the updated issue or your true agenda for not making the video format available or accessible for console users. You guys spent millions on signing Joe Rogan to an exclusive spotify deal, and yet when it comes to actually viewing his content (which was mostly done on youtube by consoles as its a affordable and complete media player) you are unable to provide a solution let alone communicate effectively enough  with us to what tf is going on. So I'm being forced to resort to coming to your community page and typing up a **bleep** essay on this forum just to ease mine and every console users frustrations. You are fully aware right that console users account for just over 200 million active users?  But for some reason you cant see how integral and basic of a video function for the most popular podcaster in the world who has fortunately/unfortunately signed an exclusive deal with your platform. Another thing is, is Joe even aware that the majority of his fan base has lost a connection with him and hes content due to this clear negligence, if it wasn't for jre moments on youtube im sure this would of had an affect on his pockets and he would find a way to restructure this lame deal.

Hey Jeremy, that "idea" garnered enough votes to be implemented over a year ago and certainly enough votes when you wrote this response, so how about explaining why it hasn't been implemented instead of explaining how it can be frustrating when things don't work like we want them to, when that is clearly the opposite of the issue. You know, the issue where Spotify cut in half the ways in which to consume the most popular podcast. Everyone simply wants it to work the way it did originally, not just the way we "want" it to work.

You just linked to an issue that was posted back in 2020. It is now 2 years later and we still cannot view the podcast video on console. That tells me the issue was thrown into a drawer and never addressed will this ever be fixed in the future or will another upvote count just be started and nothing actually done?

I am 100% sure that later, they will want to sell us the video option as a premium feature that will have to be paid additionally.

here in 2023 currently, Spotify for console is still without the video feature.

Literally logged into Spotify on my PS5 today in 2 years fully expecting this feature to be implemented and fall asleep to JRE in the background just to find it’s still audio only **bleep**! that’s shocking asf ngl. Quantity over Quality I guess, as long as it doesn’t affect the subscription count though right?

Videos are now available for podcasts on PS5, so you should be able to see videos for selected episodes. Could you check for updates for the Spotify app and for your device's software?

Shouldn't that do the trick, there's currently an issue with playing podcasts on PS5 which we're investigating. It might be related to what you're experiencing, so feel free to have a look.
