[WP 8] Crashes when account has large playlists

Hi,

I use spotify mainly on my desktop but for some occasions I use it on my Lumia 930 with Windows Phone 8. The old version worked OK but since the new redesigned version it is behaving strange. With the first 2-3 releases switching between songs in playlists was taking a long time and most of the time the next song wouldn't start at al. Since the last 2 updates the app crashes all the time. When I open the app, it's trying to get info about my playlists I gues, I can see the loading text behind the recently played items. I get the Loading message overlay a few times and then the app crashes.

I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again to make sure it wasn't due to a broken install but the crashes stayed. I have created a free account to test without playlists or anything in it en the app works fine! So I gues that large playlist or something in those playlists is causing the error/crashes. 

For example, I have the old 'Starred' playlist with 2900 songs in it, som are close to 1000 songs.
Also, there are a songs in the playlist I have on my disk, maybe this could cause the errors aswell.

Please fix this in a future release so the app is functioning ok again.

I think I have solved the problem.

I have created a folder and in that folder I have created 4 playlists. I have divided all the sons in the starrred playlist over those 4 playlists.

All my playlists in spotify are below 1000 songs now. 

After this I have started the phone app and gues what, no crashes anymore, no more constantly loading and a crash as result.

I guess big playlists are handled incorrect by windows phone version of whatsapp.

I hope this helps others.

cool that you can play spotify playlists in whatsapp 😄
just kidding. i have playlist below 1000 and i get crashes, continuous loading screens and playback interrupted... 😞

Yeah cool isn't it? And I even not using whatsapp anymore .

Well, I'm not bug free yet with the spotify app, the crashes and loadings still happen but they happen a less often.
I suspect the songs I have added to playlists which I have on my hardrive. But maybe I should shrink the playlists even more to below 300 or something, but that means I need to change all my playlists .

Haven't had time to figure that one out. Most of the time I use my old w7 phone which still works pretty well so no need to.

But yes, Spotify should fix this.

Hello there,

I'm trying to launch spotify on my phone and it stucks in loading screen. I watch the spotify logo for hours then it's not launching.

I got this crush two times, i have fixed it by reinstalling the app but  i had to download all the songs again. This ruins my day and i cannot find anything about this error on the internet. (Lumia520)
