[WP10] - Can't play any song

[WP10] - Can't play any song

After selecting a song to play, the song will be highlighted and the song will sometimes play for several seconds than the song will stop playing and returns to the Your Music section, or the song will just not play. Tried re-installing it from the Store, hard reset the phone, still have the same problem. Using the Lumia 950, Windows 10 Mobile 14393.321, Spotify version 5.2.4.0

I have the same problem with the same phone....

Fixed the problem with a soft reset!

This just started happening to me too.  A reboot of my phone fixes it temporarily, but later the same problem occurs.  I select play and it will start the track for about one second, it then stops playing and I get a "Loading" screen for a few seconds.  Then the app goes back to a previous screen and play is no longer selected.  Hitting play again just starts the same cycle over and over again until I reboot the phone.

 

The app was working great up to now.  No recent updates to the phone OS have happened either.  I really don't like having to reboot my phone just to listen to Spotify.  Very frustrating, I contacted support to see what can be done.

 

I have also noticed that when paused, after a short period you cannot restart play from the lock screen, but instead you need to unlock and select play from the app (when the app is working correctly).

 

I know us WP10 folks are almost a non-existant fraction of the user base, but I hope Spotify will continue to improve their WP10 app.  It is an awesome service and I have been very happy with the family plan.
