I can't play recommended songs under any playlist. I can play songs in playlists and ones I search for. This happens on Firefox and Microsoft Edge. I've tried clearing the cache and cookies, logging in and out, opening a new tab, creating a new playlist, turning off all extentions, and restarting my computer.
Hi @Sola054,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
We'd recommend you try connecting to a different network and making sure that there is no Firewall/ System management software blocking Spotify.
You can also try clearing the cache and cookies of your browsers.
:et us know if that helped.
issue is affecting me too. it is web player only. my playlists recommended feature works fine on the mobile app.
it is not a local issue. it is spotify. it doesn't work even when i change browsers.
Hey @plath,
Thanks for reaching out.
Can you confirm if you already tried clearing the browser's cache and cookies?
Also, could you try using a different connection like a mobile hotspot, to see if this behavior persists?
Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout.
My recommended songs aren't working either on Chrome. In the playlist and when I search for the song, it works perfectly fine and works fine in the desktop app and on the phone.
I have cleared my cache and cookies and it still won't work.
Hi there @moc-mer,
Thanks for reaching out about this.
We recommend trying with a different browser to check if the issue persists there.
Additionally, could you try using a different connection like a mobile hotspot as @CarlosE suggested previously?
Keep us posted.
Hi there @moc-mer,
Thanks for your reply.
We suggest that you ensure plug-ins are whitelisted: Settings > Advanced > Privacy > Plugins > Manage Exceptions > http://spotify.com.
Additionally, we suggest that you try with Google Chrome or Safari.
Lastly, we recommend checking your firewall and and making sure Spotify is set as an exception.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi there @jezzabells,
Thank you for your reply in this thread.
Can you let us know if you followed the troubleshooting that's been provided in the thread?
If so, and i still doesn't work, can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Cheers!
I'm also having this problem, and I've followed all the troubleshooting steps.
Nothing happens when I click this play button. I'm on chrome.

Hi again @Jms7777,
Thank you for your reply.
Can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?
Just to confirm, did you try with a different browser?
Cheers!
Backend returns a 400 code error when trying to play a recommended song. It's a frontend error when building the request.
Response:
{"error_type":"BAD_COMMAND","message":"Command in invalid format"}
Hey there @igomezyaury,

Could you share with us which troubleshooting steps you've tried so far? That way we'll able to avoid any repeating steps.
On another note, would you mind sending us a short screen recording in which we can see the issue happening?
We'll be on the lookout.
