Web Player runs through songs without playing them

Web Player runs through songs without playing them

Spotify Web Player on Google Chrome won't play any music after the first song. I will open a playlist and click play. The first and maybe second song will play, but after that, it just runs through the first few seconds of a song and then goes to the next without clicking next. I pay for premium and can't listen to the music. Please help!!

Hi @kslaco

Have you tried these steps?

1.  Go into Chrome -> Settings -> Show Advanced Settings.

2.  Scroll to Privacy and click Content Settings...

3.  Scroll to Plug-ins and choose "Click to play".

4.  While on the same screen, click Manage Exceptions.

5.  Under Hostname Pattern, enter "https://play.spotify.com" (no quotes)

6.  For that entry, click the "Allow" behavior.

7.  Click "Done" twice and exit settings.  Then click whatever link that launches Spotify in Chrome.

Hope it helps.

Unfortuantely, that didn't work. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't have
the option to "click to play", I just skipped that and clicked Manage
Exceptions. Also, when I typed in the Hostname Pattern, it had a strike
through it. May be because I'm on my work computer?

Thanks for the recommendation, though!

Hi @kslaco

If you're using an updated version of Google chrome, "Click to play" is renamed to “Let me choose when to run plugin content”

Hmmm about the strike that you're receiving, I'm not sure, but  it could be a limitation of your work computer.. by the way, have you tried to use Spotify Webplayer on a different computer (like personal computer)

It also wouldn't harm if you can try to use a different browser (Mozilla firefox etc.)

Hope it helps.
