What plays after the recommended songs from a playlist finish and what does thumbing up and down do?

What plays after the recommended songs from a playlist finish and what does thumbing up and down do?

I can't figure out what plays after the "Recommended Songs" under a playlist finish. Is it simply more recommended songs based on that playlist or are they just songs Spotify's algorithm thinks you will like in general?

Also, does thumbing these songs up or down change the likeliness of hearing that genre of music?

Thanks!

Hey @chmooney, help's arrived.

If you have the Autoplay feature enabled, once you've reached the end of a playlist, new songs will be played for you based on what you've been listening to on that playlist. It creates a Radio function where you can like or dislike a song, and as you said, it will change the likelyhood of you hearing that artist. The algorithm takes genre, similar artists, and your listening history into account.

Hope that explains things 🙂
