When starting a playlist from Android Auto smart shuffle is always enabled.

If I click on a playlist via de Android Auto Spotify app, it always plays with smart shuffle enabled even though the shuffle icon doesn't say so. Toggling the shuffle feature on and back off via AA does not help turning it off. The only option is to unlock my phone and initiate a song from there.

This is an odd behavior as the Smart Shuffle feature shouldn't be turned on by default, so first, we'd recommend making sure your app and devices’ software are up-to-date. 

Also, would you mind checking if restarting your car (by turning the ignition off then on again) makes any difference?

Lastly, it would also be great if you could record a short video where we can take a better look. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).

We'll be on the lookout.
