Why i can no longer link my account to my playstation account? (PS4)

My Question or Issue

I have previously been able to link my account on my PS4, but suddenly when I try to log in, I get the error message "Linking Failed. Account linking is not supported in this country or region". This is odd because I have previously been able to do this. 

I have logged out of the accounts on all devices and tried to log back in. I checked my settings on both my PS4 and Spotify account and confirmed that the countries are both registered as South Africa. I have also checked that the service is in fact available in South Africa.

Could you assist? This is probably the one feature I use the most on my PS4.

Same with linking my Spotify with PS4, the only thing you can do at the moment is use the Spotify connect feature and use your phone to switch between songs

Yeah me too! I just joined Spotify today, so there is no way my account is linked to anything else. I just get the region error. Can play my phone through my TV via bluetooth, but can't link

I've been trying to sort it out with PlayStation support since I first posted here... just getting a back and forth asking for my details with no actual help. They've been pretty useless. From what I can tell the newer update of PS Music/Spotify killed the linking of the PSN to Spotify. Other people who haven't updated can still use Spotify without issues. It's as bad as Apple updates that break everything

Spotify linking again for me hope you guys are sorted

I GOT IT WORKING!

What I did was go onto facebook, and remove spotify from my apps. I also logged out of all spotify linked devices.

Then went to this page https://link.playstationmusic.com/landing/

I was able to then link my PSN to spotify. Hope it helps

Try logging in on your ps4 again it looks like they have fixed it

Yes it seems they have resolved the issue as I can also log in again on my ps4.
