Why is firetv not playing spotify?

I have a FireTV and I downloaded Spotify. It will load the app but won't produce any sound. It's not muted and not the speakers because I can hear Youtube just fine. I've already updated my TV, updated Spotify, uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, tried three different wifi's and even logged out of all my devices except the TV but it still doesn't work.

What is the sound output device set to? Does the issue occur with different output devices?

Could you try using a different account on the TV?

Thank you for getting back so soon, I've tried to change the output to a
Bose soundbar I have and also tried the output straight through the TV
speakers. I haven't tried using another account so I'll try it tonight
and let you know how it goes.
