My Question or Issue

When I try to play a song nothing plays but I get forwarded 4 or 5 tracks in the queue and if I press play again after that it refuses to accept my command. No music is able to be played on my Xbox right now. I restarted the Xbox and uninstalled/reinstalled the Spotify app on my Xbox. No difference.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or only on your Xbox?
  • When did this start happening?
  • Does it happen with any content you try to play?
  • Do any other devices appear in the Connect list when this happens?
  • Does it happen with different networks? If you haven't tested this, please do so?
  • A video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Hi Joan,

This was happening around 3 am PT on Monday August 7th.

I was using my Xbox and my iPhone connected to play music while gaming. It was also not playing when I was only using my iPhone. I was still able to connect to other devices on my network and I was even able to connect with the Xbox while on data. I could not play any music starting around 3am  but after falling asleep everything was back to normal the next time I played Xbox.

Today, Wednesday the 9th everything is back to normal. That night was the only time I’ve had this issue.
