(fixed) Spotify not responding to Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless Touch Controls

Hello,
 
Spotify doesn't respond to the Touch controls of the Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless
however the headphones do know they are in a application because they dont call people when i double tap. which they normally would do if i was on my home screen.
while on other music players (stock music player Huawei P8) it does respond and works perfect. 
my previous headphones from sony which had slider for control instead of touch
those had no issue pausing and next track etc.
 
Hopefully this will be fixed in the future but Sennheiser is not a Hardware partner with Spotify so i wont count on it 😞
