[iOS] Outrageous Data Consumption

Good morning. After updating the app and also sending out the Spotify Wrapped and lyrics too, I realised it is consuming much of my mobile data and this is crazy. I can’t imagine been in the app without playing any music yet it takes more than 100mb already. For an hour I lost about 2gigs of mobile data, something which has never happened before.  So in conclusion, The Spotify Wrapped and maybe Lyrics are causing much data usage, that’s the complaint. This is incorrect. Please report the issues to the devs

I have the same problem and I was using Spotify on my laptop (on WiFi) and without me knowing it was using 8gb of my cellular data. Thanks for this new amazing feature!🙃
