liked songs playlist cannot be carried over to another device

My Mac and iPhone will not let me continue where I was at in my liked songs playlist when I switch from one to another. If I open my phone while on my mac, it will start from the top of my liked songs, if I open my mac and trying to change devices it will say "this cannot be played here" or something like that. I am not trying to shuffle, just trying to go through my liked songs in order.

Mac: MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2020
iPhone: iPhone 13 mini

Both up to date (macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and iOS 17.4.1)

Does this affect other playlists/albums as well or just your Liked Songs? Could you confirm that both devices are connected to the same network? If possible, try connecting to a different one to see if the issue would persist.

If you haven't already, it's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app - this will ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

In any case, a short screen recording which captures the described behavior in action would be greatly appreciated. That way, we can get a direct view of what's happening on your end.
