login problems on the Spotify Windows App

I am having problems logging into Spotify on my phone app, the log in fails and tries to tell me it's the first time I've tried to log in through Facebook when that is not what I am even doing, and the "Forgot Password" option sends me to my edit profile page instead. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no success and the problem only occurs on the app because I have attempted to login with a desktop PC without any problems. Can anyone help me?
