My Question or Issue
Spotify has been working just fine for about 4years on my Fire tv. No issues. Since yesterday the songs seems playing for a few seconds then they stop altogether. Also there is no sound coming out whatsoever. The phone connect just fine but the audio on TV is not working. The issue is only with Spotify. Every other app audio works just fine. I tried to delete the app and re install it twice. Nothing. Fire TV OS is also up to date

Ok I ve reset even the network again and now this time it works fine

Thanks for reaching out and welcome aboard to the Community! Do you mean that if you control the playback on the Fire stick from your phone it works, but if you play on the stick itself the issue arises? Does the same happen across different networks? If you haven't tested this, please do so. You can use a hotspot from your phone if necessary. Also, send us a video of the behaviour, so we can see exactly what happens.

If I use my mobile as hotspot it works. But as soon as I go back to the normal WiFi it doesn’t and keeps either skipping songs w/o sound or stop after a few seconds without sound or keeps going without sound.
(5mb limit for a video is not enough)

Hello,
basically the problem is that no audio is coming from Spotify when I play songs. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. It's just weird, because other apps doesn't have this problem, Youtube's sound comes out everytime I start a video, same for Netflix or Prime video, but Spotify... well.
I hope you'll fix that issue one day

Could you try restarting the internet connecting as well to see if the same thing happens?

Hi, I've been using spotify on my fire stick for quite a while. I opened spotify the other day, and i had no audio on songs. To make sure i had working tv audio, i opened another app and the audio worked. I then uninstalled Spotify, then reinstalled. Still no audio. I made sure my wifi was working and tried a few other networks, it still didn't work. I uninstalled then reinstalled the app multiple times and emptied its cache. Also, in the app, sometimes the song plays for 10 sec or 20 sec, then skips. The song progress bar is playing, but no sound. I tried playing songs while pairing with my mobile phone and doesn't work either. The only thing that works properly is the Spotify app on my mobile phone alone. One other thing that works Ok on the Spotify-Firestick also is when connecting to my mobile phone hotspot! Any solutions? BTW updates are all done... Thanks
I had the same problem with my fire tv stick 4K Max (2nd gen), Fire OS 8.1.1.9 and Spotify 1.83.3
I could use Spotify fine on my iPhone (using wifi), Spotify connect on a Teufel audio or on a PC in the browser.
When I tried to switch the network on the fire TV stick to a wifi hotspot from my iPhone it worked but this was not a permanent solution.
What solved my issue was to disable IPv6 support on my router (Fritzbox 7530AX) and now it works fine for me.
I have a similar issue. Set up an Amazon group for the fire TV stick and my echo plus so "Downstairs" group plays. Occasionally the TV stops despite progress bar. The echo continues to play. If I manually pause and restart the TV it pauses all speakers and then they all start replaying.
Just seems like the fire TV Spotify app is super buggy.
1st step I used was just going into the settings in my fire tv stick and restarting the fire tv stick. I'd start with that before resetting the network or rebooting your whole house 😉.
