pitching to playlist editors

Solved!

pitching to playlist editors

I'm a young singer songwriter in New Zealand. I have had two songs released by Play It Strange as I’ve been a finalist in two youth song writing competitions that they run annually. Both songs have been released as part of a Play it Strange album which features many other songwriters.

I'm looking to get my own Spotify for artists account and release these songs under my own name. Can I still pitch them as an unreleased up and coming song to the editors as they haven’t been released in my name as such before? I’m guessing not but wanted to check! Does anyone have other tips to get my songs in front of playlist editors.
