"something went wrong" error appearing no matter what i do?

"something went wrong" error appearing no matter what i do?

hello!

first of all, i'm mainly reporting this error for mobile spotify. oddly enough, the website and the app on my computer have been working fine. to preface, i have two free accounts (only because i forgot the password to the older one, i'm now able to log into that one,) and i started noticing some odd activities with my account. might just be a small bug, i'm not sure, but the way the error appears, it looks like there's a flaw in the code from the new update? (i'm nowhere near certified to be saying any of this, being an irrational high schooler who knows the bare minimum about code.)

to describe it, first error is that every single time i try to access someone else's profile (or mine, for that matter,) the "something went wrong" error appears. i've tried reconnecting to my network, signing in and out, all that. collaborative playlists are being odd too, as if i try to edit the title, i can't type and the text is just floating (hence, why it looks a little like an error in the code.) i made sure this issue wasn't just on one account, the issue with the reloading seems to just be on one, but both accounts are being buggy with editing playlists. again, i've also checked the website and the app on my chromebook, both are working fine. i own a oneplus 6T phone (which is an android and runs on OxygenOS, not sure which version it's on currently though.) if this is a serious error, please let me know. if i'm just being stupid and need to wait it out, ignore this, i guess- just wanna listen to minecraft music as i fall asleep to distract myself from my life decisions. thanks!

Hi @courtel,

Thanks for posting on the Community and taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.

We recommend that you reinstall the app by following these steps and sign out everywhere here. Afterwards, restart your device and tell us if the issue persists.

If you're still having trouble, send us over the Spotify version installed on your device and let us know if the issue started after a Spotify update or OS update (or both).

Keep us in the loop!
