spotify connect button does not work

hi

i am a spotify premium account member i use a windows 10 pc to send spotify to my yamaha spotify enabled amp been doing this for a few years with no problem.

now when i click on the spotify connect speaker icon it does nothing does not high light or open anything.

i have checked and my account shows as premium and i have logged out of spotify and logged back in and also reinstalled spotify.

i have tried my ipad with spotify and tthat seems to be the same so can i assume that even though my account shows as premium spotify must think my account is a free account ?
