spotify connect throws me out

spotify connect throws me out

I have a problem with the latest version of Spotify on my iPad (V 4.3.0.1426). I use Spotify Connect to play music from various compatible devices (I have a Cambridge Audio CXR 200 Surround Receiver in the living room, a Cambridge Audio StreamMagic6v2 in the bedroom and a Hama IR100 Internet Radio in the kitchen). After playing some songs, i keep getting "thrown out", i.e. the iPad disconnects from the player and when I skip to a new track, it starts playing the track locally on the iPad. When i click on the loudspeaker icon, the available devices in my network are still shown, but when i select one, the iPad says "connecting .." and does not connect - it  just switches back to local playback. I did not have this problem with earlier versions of the Spotify Client and my network seems to be okay (all devices are in the same subnet and I can ping any of them from my laptop). Any idea what might be wrong?
