My Question or Issue

Hello. This is a two part question.

1. So there's been some miscommunication between myself and family members. I have recently made a Family Plan expecting to add my family members, however it turns out they have a duo account. It seems it would have been easier for them to change to a family plan, and me join them. Can I cancel my family plan and join theirs once created? Or will I be unable to join due to the 12 month rule? Also, would I be eligible for a refund for my family plan subscription since it was made only just today?

2. My partner will be joining the plan as well. She has moved here from another country and recently cancelled her family plan in that country. Once she changes her Spotify account to Canada, can she join our family plan or would the 12 month rule apply? Her family plan has been active longer than 12 months.

I hope this makes sense, looking to sort this out quickly. Thank you in advance!

Hey @Floppydiskhero,

Thanks for reaching out.

Both of you won't be affected by the 12 month policy at all, since it only applies to switching from one plan to another as a member 🙂

Lastly, if you believe that you're eligible for a refund, feel free to reach out to Support here.

Hope this helps!
