Hi! I'm admin for our family account and my Daily Mixes are all based on what the other family members are listening to. To get my own personal recommendations, do I need to create a separate account for me? (and keep the admin account for admin settings).
Thanks in advance!/Ann

No need to create a new profile if you don't share your username / password with anybody else. Each family member will get their independent Daily Mixes, including the Admin. 🙂
Hey @acj-form
Each family member has to have a separate username and password, so the first step is to create new accounts for each new member (if they haven't already).

A little late to the party, but I have the same issue as the OP. However, as far as I can tell (I can't remember anymore) I signed up for my Spotify account using my Facebook account. Does this mean that I won't get Daily Mixes based solely on my own listening pattern, but that instead they will be based on the entire family's listening history? That's what it seems like at the moment almost two months after signing up for Premium for Family, with four of the six Daily Mixes showing a heavy influence from my eldest son's musical preferences...
Hey @Tagemeister
Each family member has to have a separate username and password.
The account that pays then links the other family members to the plan through the Spotify website.
After that, each family member will be able to listen to music at the same time, have different playlists, library and friends. No influence should be had if all your members use their own account credentials to login.
Hope it helps. 🙂
Hey @osornios,
thanks! Just to clarify, if
1) I've created my Spotify account with Facebook and use this account as the admin account, and
2) each of the other family members has a separate username and password,
would I need to create a separate Spotify account for myself not using Facebook (i.e. separate from my Facebook admin account) in order to have Spotify generate my own personalized Daily Mixes etc., or should I have that just using my Facebook admin account?
Thanks for your help!
Using your Facebook created account is fine, as all personalized content is independent from your subscription status. The important thing to remember is for everyone to use their own username, so eveyone can get their very own Daily mixes, and suggestions. 🙂
Thanks, @osornios!
You're welcome. Glad I was able to help. 🙂
