Can't use a premium code on my account

For some reason I am unable to use a premium code to renew my subscription. It may be due to the fact that I am paying for both Spotify and Hulu at the same time. Regardless I should be allowed to use these codes as they are essentially money.

Gift Cards are not redeemable in conjunction with other discounts or promotions, such as Premium for Family, student discount, or trial offers.
