My Question or Issue

My sister recently moved back to Singapore. I invited her to join our Spotify Family (in SG) but we got an error message saying her account is in a different country. We can't change the country from her account settings page; the country dropdown is disabled. 

She registered for Spotify using FB; but her FB current country settings is also already SG. 

is it because her current account is currently still linked to a Premium Family account based in the US (because only recently moved)?

Anyone know how to solve this?

Yup, it's definitely related to the subsfription she has/is part of.

 

Is she a member or owner of the Premium Family plan?

Thanks for the quick reply! She is a just member of the old family plan.

Thanks for letting me know.

 

In that case, she just needs to leave the plan she's currently part of and once that's done, she'll be able to change her country setting through a dropdown list as described here.

 

She can leave the Premium Family plan via the cancellation process for a paid subscription with the difference, that the cancellation of the membership in a Premium Family plan has an instantaneous effect. More info on how to do that can be found here.
