Cannot upgrade to family premium

Cannot upgrade to family premium

I get error while trying to upgrade from premium single to premium family. Could it be due to the fact that my payment go through Google play? If it is then is there a solution? If I cancel current plan and start with family plan then I will loose rest of days in my current monthly term for which I have paid for.

You're right, I guess the issue could be related to the fact that your current Spotify subscription is managed through Google Play.


Spotify cannot directly adjust subscriptions managed through third-party platforms. This includes upgrades like switching from a Premium Single to a Premium Family plan.

 

Upgrading via Spotify might not work until the current billing arrangement through Google Play is canceled or changed.

 

My suggestion is that you cancel the Google Play Subscription, and once canceled, wait for the subscription to expire (you can continue using it until the end of the current billing period).

 

After expiration, subscribe to the Premium Family Plan directly through Spotify's website or app.
