Change country premium family

Change country premium family

I’m Belgian resident but I’m working in Luxembourg.

i have a professional mobile with Luxembourgish SIM card (professional mobile subscription).

I registered for Spotify Premium Family with a payment card from a Belgian bank.

however, the country of residence remains Luxembourg (though the first payment is made) and when my family put our home address to access the account (the same as I input during the registration) it is said that they are from another country then me (they are registered in Belgium while Spotify considers I’m à Luxembourg resident).

can someone help me fix this?
i followed all the recommendations (changed payment etc) but as Luxembourg remains my country for Spotify everything is blocked though I’m paying for it!

Many thanks,

Benjamin

Hey @gauthierbenjam ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Keep in mind that the country of your payment method, the country of residence and the country setting of your Spotify account must all match, in order for a Premium Family plan to function properly.

In this case, you would need to cancel your current Premium Family subscription and wait until your account reverts to Spotify Free. You can then update your account's country setting to Belgium (while you're in Belgium and are connected to a Belgian internet connection).

Once all of that's been done, you can subscribe to Premium Family again at https://spotify.com/family 🙂 You'll then be able to invite the Belgian accounts to your plan.

Hope this helps!

Hello Spotify,

I think my situation is the same but I still want to confirm that I must cancel my account before I do so.

I've had my single account for a few years in the U.S. and my kids and wife have been using it as well.  We recently moved to Central America last week and I just tried to upgrade to a family premium account from here but I can't seem to add my kids and wife to the family plan because we no longer live in the U.S.  and it won't let me verify the address with each new account.   I want to keep all of our U.S. music preferences and add them to the plan.  I have a VPN but it doesn't solve the problem.  What should I do?  Thanks.
