Change from Student Premium to Family

Change from Student Premium to Family

Hi,

 

I have had a Student Discount plan for a while now and my family decided to share a Family plan. I accepted the invitation without cancelling my previous Student subscription. Since I'm not the owner of the Family plan, I can not manage my account anymore. Do I have to ask the owner to cancel my previous plan or does it happen automatically?

Hey! Welcome to the Spotify Community 🙂

 

Everything should happen automatically, from your next due pay date onwards. From then, you won't pay anymore, but your Account manager will and you will be on a family plan and not on a student discount anymore. Just beware that you won't be able to switch back over to a student discount on another account for the rest of the year, because it will say that your student ID has already been used.
