Changing the Admin Account on a Spotify Family Plan

I have a Spotify Family account that includes accounts for myself, my wife, and our four children. This setup has worked perfectly for years, and we all use it intensively and with great satisfaction. However, there’s been a minor issue for years that isn’t a big problem, but I wonder if it can be changed.

I am User A, the administrator, but the admin account is currently in the name of one of my children, User B (this happened a long time ago). Now, I want to change it so that User A becomes the administrator instead of User B. We both want to keep our existing accounts with all our playlists and listening histories (for things like Daily Discovery) intact. In other words, I don’t want to

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change the plan manager once signed up. He would have to cancel and wait for the subscription to end.

Once the current subscription has ended, a new Premium Family plan can be started through your account 🙂

Also, please keep in mind that every user can only switch plans once every 12 months, so if one of the plan members was part of more than one plan within the last 12 months, they wouldn't be able to join the new plan.
