Death of account holder

Death of account holder

I have woken up today to a message that we will move to a Free account as there is a problem with our payment.

 

my husband was the main account holder. He died in Dec 22.

 

Because I’m not the main account holder, I don’t seem to be able to remove him or make a payment.

 

any ideas how to save our account before it moves to a free one?

 

I can’t seem to find any help on this.

Hi @MH73, thanks for reaching out.

 

I'm sorry for your loss. In this case, I suggest that one of the remaining family members start a new Spotify Family Plan from their own account.

 

Then, invite the other family members to join (they’ll need to confirm they live at the same address).

 

Keep in mind that everyone’s playlists and library will stay intact, since those are tied to individual accounts, not the plan itself.
