Family Account

Family Account

We signed up for a family account so my two sons can access spotify on their devices. They do not have email addresses. Am i supposed to create and account for each of the then link it to our main one or do I use the email from the main one for each of them? The spotify kids app isnt compatible with their devices so we can't use that.

Hi there @KKeddy,

thanks for reaching out to the community !

The Premium Family subscription allows one owner (the paying member) to create a Premium account for all members of the family who live in the same country and address.

For the plan to work correctly, each member must have their own private account which gets added to the plan by the owner's invitation.

As kids under a certain age aren't allowed on such plan, Spotify came up with Spotify Kids which allows the owner to create a "gate" for kids to join without a private email based account.

However, if you're unable to use the Spotify Kids option, any member of the plan would have to be invited using their own private account.

Make sure to send invitations from your device (owner) and have all members accepting them, do it on their own device.

Adding these support page for further general knowledge:

- Spotify Kids

- Premium Family

Hope this shed some light.

Let me know if you have further questions 🙂
