Family Premium Accounts clashing on device

Family Premium Accounts clashing on device

Plan: Premium (Family)

Country: USA

Device: Laptop, iPhone, Galaxy S8

Operating System: iOS, Android, Windows 7

My Question or Issue

I have a Family Premium account. My family members all have their own accounts and log into them, but if I'm listening and my son tries to listen, I get cut off and told that someone is using my account on a different device.

I know how it's supposed to work. My son is logged in to his account, which is under my Family Premium account. Why does this keep happening?

Hey @DanSomeone, and welcome to the community.

Hope you're doing great!

I understand your concern. One great thing about having Premium for Family is that everyone gets their own unique account, so that there is no tantrums with listening to music. It sounds like you two are logged into the same account.

In this case, if you don't have a Spotify account yet, you can sign up for one here: https://www.spotify.com/signup/ - afterwards you can ask the owner to invite you onto their plan.

If you already have an account, you'd just have to ask the owner of the plan to invite you and enjoy the great benefits of Premium. For more info on this, check out this support article.

I hope this helps! if you need help with anything else, just let me know 🙂
