Girlfriend's music playing on my phone?

I just bought a Spotify premium account for my girlfriend and I to share, she followed the link and is listening to music but her music is popping up on my phone and I can't listen to my music on MY phone, it keeps asking me to "choose a device" and then stopping playback on the other device.

What's going on?

this problem is occuring because both you and your girlfriend are trying to listen to spotify on the SAME ACCOUNT at the SAME TIME, all you need to do is create another spotify account for you or your girlfriend and add it to the plan. But if you were only looking to pay for one account then unfortunatley you are not able to listen to spotify at the same time as another user on the same account. i hope this made sense.
