How to solve a Client Side Error with verifying an address?

How to solve a Client Side Error with verifying an address?

Everytime I try and add my address to set up my family plan I get an error that says "application error a client side exception has occurred" and I can't add the address. Thus I can't invite the family members as I can't move onto the next step. I have tried multiple devices and browsers already.

Hi @mattyboy43, thanks for writing!

You said you've tried multiple browsers, but just to make sure, I suggest you try using Chrome (make sure it's up to date).

You can also try turning off JavaScript (in the browser's preferences) and reloading the page. It should now load, though with some elements missing.

Once you've reloaded the page, you can re-enable JavaScript to continue getting rich content on other websites.

Hope this sorts your issue.

I have the same problem!

I cant switch off the JavaScript on my iPhone.

How can I slove the problem?

Hey @joejonson76, thanks for reaching out.

Can you give me some more information about what's happening? Did it start recently? Do you have any other devices besides your iPhone?

Have you tried using Chrome?

Have the same problem, and I can`t install Chrome because I have an old iPhone. I've tried shutting down the javascript option and it doesn`t work.

Hey @camitellez,

Thanks for your reply here and for the info shared.

In that case, we'd suggest you try:

  • Using a different device. You can rather ask for the device of a relative or a friend or use a computer.
  • Using an incognito window.
  • Opening a different browser on your device.

If the above doesn't do the trick, it'd be awesome if you could sent us further details. Just to confirm, are you trying to set the account for the plan or to join one?

Keep us in the loop!

"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). HOw to fix this?

I'm getting this. Using another device or another browser is not a valid answer. (Other browsers give the same error anyway). Clearing cookies, cache, saved form information etc did not resolve it.

switching browsers doesn't help  "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).. Same error  that appears to be affecting Spotify only

I'm pretty sure it is an issue with Spotify. I work in IT for 20 years.  I recently started to get this message as well when logging into my admin console on my home page as an Artist on Spotify.  I have tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox and also disabled all extensions. Seems to me a corrupt java script issue on Spotifys end.  Maybe this issue was caused recently because of the outage issues from crowdstrike but hopefully Spotify starts to realize they have an issue.

Hey folks,

Welcome to the thread and thanks for sharing these details with us!

We checked this out and it looks like a more general error, which does seem to happen with certain sites and browsers.

We also found that other people are experiencing the same issue and you can take a look at this Microsoft Community thread here for some other troubleshooting steps that you can test.

Keep us posted and don't hesitate to let us know if you need help with anything else in the meantime 🙂

I have tried all the so called fixes but nothing is working..  The error only shows up on the  "Spotify for Artists" home page.  No other web pages are affected

I'm having the same issue for 3 days now. Running Sonoma14.5. Tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, disabled Javascript, nothing works

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your replies.

For anyone still seeing the error, please share the following so we can investigate further:

  • The model and OS version of the affected devices and the browsers you've tested this with.
  • The URL(s) of the page(s) where you see this error.

Cheers,
