Music visible in my GFs account but not mine (using a global family account)

Music visible in my GFs account but not mine (using a global family account)

I have a Spotify family account that both my GF and me are using.

Last night, I wanted to give my phone to my Son so he can listen to "Traumzauberbaum" to fall asleep. We are Germans living in Sweden and Traumzauberbaum is German Kids music.

I could only find Traumzauberbaum 1-4 (which for whatever reasons only inludes number 4) But not the classic Album I was looking for.

My GF said, that cant be true as she just recently listened to it with the Kid. So she grabbed her swedish cellphone and instantly found it on her App. I tried on my Tablet as well, but could not find it (Windows tablet) and same on my Android Phone. When she made a playlist and shared it with me, it was empty.

Soooo...what exactly is going on here? We are on the "same" account but she can access stuff I cant?

Any help would be highly appreciated! 🙂

Hey @Daedalus51.

Thanks for getting in touch!

If you share a Premium for Family subscription, you'll be able to find the same songs. This because accounts within a Premium for Family subscription need to be registered in the same country.

We did a search and found out that the first 3 albums from Traumzauberbaum are not available for all markets. It's possible that this used to be different in the past. Unfortunately it's up to the license holder to decide which markets have access to their music.

You can change in the settings if you'd like to see unavailable songs or not. If you have it set so it shows unavailable tracks, you'll notice greyed out songs in Spotify. These songs are not available in your market.

Hope this clarifies some things. Let us know if you have further questions.

Have a nice day!
