Premium Family Users cannot stream different music on different devices on the exact same time

Premium Family Users cannot stream different music on different devices on the exact same time

Please Help!

I have a Premium Family Account...just added my boyfriend. Why can't we each play our own music on our own devices at the same time?

He likes to use Spotify on his computer while I like to use Spotify on my phone while I am on the go.

He got extremely frustrated when today he couldn't use his Spotify on his computer to show his best friend new music because I was working outside playing my favorite music.

Any Solutions? Short of us getting our own individual Premium account to then be able to listen to what we like, whenever we like without cutting out the other person's song?

Thank you

Hey @BunnyBabe,

It sounds like all family members are trying to use the same Spotify account to listen to music at the same time. To be able to listen to music at the same time, all family members need to have their own Spotify account. If they don't have a Spotify account yet, they can sign up on http://spoti.fi/2e1FH6k.

You can learn how to invite family members to your Premium for Family plan here: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/premium_for_family/premium-for-family/

We each have our own account in the Premium Family account

But Thank you for replying

I'd recommend making sure that one device is logged into the one account and the other device into the other.

Yes, they are

Thank you

Great! You should have no issues listening to different music at the same time then.
