My Question or Issue

Family stopped working properly. If one account listens to music, the other account stops and vice versa. We’re definitely signed in with our own separate accounts. Both accounts are part of the family. Yet one stops playing when the other starts. What’s wrong here? Family plan makes no sense like that.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In order to investigate further, cab you give us a bit more info about your particular setup? Are you using a Connect-enabled speaker to play music or just your phones? If the former, then please note that Google and Amazon speakers can only be used with 1 Spotify account per household, so it's normal for the playback to get interrupted when using the same account on a different device. 

 

If the latter, then we'd suggest checking out this FAQ page and making sure that everyone in the Family plan has their own Spotify account and is logged in there on their device.
