My Question or Issue
When I'm looking for an album for my kids of an Artist, let's take e.g. Petterson und Findus. I then get a unordered mix of all the Chapters (Kapitel) from all Albums available for this Artist.
This way, the app is completely useless. When checking the same artist in the regular app, it looks perfect:
The same is true for other Artists like Benjamin Blümchen etc..
How can I get the same view I get in the regular app based on "Discographie" in the Spotify Kids App?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there @Wolfsen,
Currently this is how the Kids app functions when it comes to Audiobooks, so the best way would we to search for each the artist and find out the name of the album which contains the chapters that you want to hear and search for that. We're aware that audiobooks can cause particular inconveniences as they're currently handled exactly as regular Albums and Tracks and that we'll be working on improving this in the future.
That’s why we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestion with the Community.
We're sure other users might also appreciate an easier way of finding content on the kids app, so we'd recommend going ahead and also creating an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
Hi @Wolfsen,
Welcome to the Community!
On the first screenshot it seems that you're seeing episodes from different Albums on the Spotify Kids app while on the second one you're seeing the episodes of the same Album.
In this case, we suggest that you try searching directly the Album or the Artist you want to listen to on the Spotify Kids app.
If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know which steps did you follow on the Spotify Kids app to see what you're showing on the screenshot?
Cheers - We'll be waiting for your reply!
Hi Eni,
thanks a lot for your answer.
On the first screenshot it seems that you're seeing episodes from different Albums on the Spotify Kids app while on the second one you're seeing the episodes of the same Album.
The 1st screenshot with different episodes form different Albums is right, that's exactly my issue.
In this case, we suggest that you try searching directly the Album or the Artist you want to listen to on the Spotify Kids app.
Well, that's how I get there. When I check for the Artist in order to see the his/her albums, I end up with this view.
If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know which steps did you follow on the Spotify Kids app to see what you're showing on the screenshot?
Following the steps how I get to this view:
1) First search for the Artist:
2) Then click on found Artist (Künstler*in)
3) Then I get this view and no chance to change the view in any way...
Hi @Wolfsen,
Thanks for the reply.
What happens if you search for one of the albums with stories in the kids' app, for example "Folge 7: Der Weihnachtsmann kommt - Teil 1 (Drei Geschichten) [Das Original-Hörspiel zur TV-Serie]". Do you get the content in order?
We'll be on the lookout for your answer.
Thanks.
Hi @Alex,
thanks for your reply. If I search directly for an album, it works as expected. See the following 2 screenshots:
My main issue is, that I do not know the Name of the Albums. I thus want to get a list with all Albums for an Artist. So looking up an Artist and then get a list with all available Albums 😉

Hi @Alex,
it's probably a misunderstanding. I don't want to play a chapter within an album, but instead just the whole album. And if it's treated like regular music it should work just as I expect it. See my screenshots from the regular Spotify app above when I search for the Artist "Petterson und Findus". I get a list of all the albums available from this Artist. That's exactly how I want the Kids app to do it as well: So search for an Artist and see all the Albums. And not a shuffled list of tracks of all the albums. If it works within the regular Spotify App that also treats it like regular music, why not in the Kids app then?
Hey @Wolfsen,
Thanks for getting back to us.
