My Question or Issue

Hi everyone, my question is actually very simple: I have just installed an android head unit on my vehicle. Everything is working fine, but I would like to know if it's possible to use multiple accounts, at the time. For example, is there a way to change the account (toggling from one to another), in the same session? This would be great as sometimes we switch cars and we shouldn't have to login each time we want to access to our account. Thank you.

Hey @Paulo_Freitas,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Since Spotify works as a streaming service using an account and not a profile, it's not possible to have multiple accounts logged in on the same device. However, some speakers allow the user to use different accounts at the same time, but it's a functionality of the device itself. You can check if your Head unit supports this type of feature by contacting the manufacturer.

If you think other users would like this feature too, feel free to post it on our Ideas Exchange board to start gaining votes in order to reach the relevant teams. Before posting it, we'd recommend taking a look at our guidelines.

Hope this clarifies things a bit. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi @OscarDC,

I would like to add to this question...

I understand you cannot use 2 users at the same time but what is the way to switch between them?
Is there an easy way to do this?
Do I have to log out from the account and then log in to the other account?
Me and my partner use the same Lenovo tablet and we are looking for the way to do this - as easy as possible on Spotify.
Can you please advice how this is done?

Thanks!!

Hi there @esther005,

Thank you for your reply in this thread. We're happy to clear this up.

It's as you say - you have to log out from your account so that your partner can log into their account and vice versa.

Let us know if we can help you with anything else 🙂

Have a great continued Sunday!
