Unable to switch off explicit content filter on controlling Family Premium account

Unable to switch off explicit content filter on controlling Family Premium account

Plan

Premium

Country

UK

Device

Acer Aspire 5 laptop, Samsung Galaxy S7 (but same issue on various devices i've tried)

My Question or Issue

I have the controlling account for my Family Premium membership. I've so far only added myself and my one daughter to the plan, with others to follow, but have been using it for a few weeks now. I can turn the explicit content on and off on my daughter's account without an issue as the setting is there. However, there is no option to access the settings for my controlling account, so I can't find a way of turning the explicit content filter off.

This means that I can't listen to lots of songs at the moment. As I've tried accessing on various devices with the same result, I don't know if there is something wrong with my account, or whether I am missing something, but I can't find the answer anywhere, despite spending ages looking through community posts and googling it.

If anyone could tell me the answer, it would be appreciated as at the moment, my Spotify life (for want of a better phrase) is far harder work than it should be !! I've included a screenshot which is the same regardless of which device I use to log in and shows that the arrow to access the account settings appears next to my daughter's account, but there is nothing next to mine. I'm out of ideas with it 😞

Hey @Adrian1978 ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

The explicit content filter can be turned on or off directly within the Spotify app. Have you tried doing that yet? 🙂

Let me know how it goes.
